Short Bio: As the Chief Operating Officer at Miramoon Pharma, I bring over two decades of experience spanning developmental neuroscience, regenerative therapies, and the pharmaceutical industry. Since transitioning to the corporate sector in 2020, I have successfully led R&D strategies, regulatory activities with the EMA, and strategic partnerships, driving innovation from the laboratory to patient-oriented solutions. I hold a PhD in Neuroscience from Miguel Hernández University and have conducted research at world-renowned institutions, including The Scripps Research Institute and UCSF. My scientific contributions include numerous publications in high-impact journals like Science and Neuron. Additionally, I represent Spain on the Management Committee of the pan-European COST Action Retina4Future.

Short Bio: I am a professor of Optometry at Linnaeus University and an Honorary Fellow at University College London and the University of Minho. My current research focuses on the epidemiology of ocular diseases. My group works with a combination of ophthalmic imaging, advanced statistical methods and wet laboratory techniques to improve understanding of eye disease and generate new research hypotheses. Work seeks to improve clinical decision-making, refine treatment strategies and ultimately enhance outcomes for patients.
