Call for Abstracts Open for the 2nd Retina4Future Scientific Meeting 2026

We are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the Retina4Future Scientific Meeting, “From Discovery to Delivery: Fast-Tracking Innovation in Retinal Science”, which will take place at the Victor Babes National Institute of Pathology, Splaiul Independenței 99–101, Bucharest, Romania, from 24 September 2026 (starting at 13:00) to 25 September 2026 (ending at 17:00).

The meeting will bring together researchers and innovators working across the field of retinal science to share cutting-edge discoveries, foster collaboration, and accelerate the translation of research into clinical and societal impact.

How to Submit

Participants interested in presenting their work are invited to:

  1. Complete the registration for ( Retina4Future 2nd Scientific Meeting (CA24105) ;
  2. Submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation using the official submission form (sended by e-mail to all Retina4Future members or available under request to  r4fcommunication@gmail.com).

Abstracts should be submitted in Word format by email to: r4fcommunication@gmail.com

Evaluation Criteria

All abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee based on:

  • Scientific quality and originality;
  • Relevance to Retina4Future objectives;
  • Applicant motivation and contribution to the network.

In line with COST policies, the final selection process will also consider inclusiveness and representativity, including:

  • Geographic balance;
  • Participation of Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs);
  • Gender balance;
  • Career-stage diversity;
  • Participation of Young Researchers and Innovators (YRIs).

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission deadline: 12 June 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 26 June 2026

We strongly encourage active participation from all Working Groups and especially welcome submissions from Young Researchers and Innovators.

We look forward to welcoming the Retina4Future community to Bucharest for an inspiring and collaborative scientific meeting.
